Duan Qiang holds a Ph.D. in Economics of Tsinghua University, China. He was former Vice Mayor of Beijing and now Chairman of the Board of Beijing Tourism Group (BTG), one of the top tourism groups in China. BTG holds stakes in nearly 300 companies and extends its broad presence with over 1600 member companies from across the world. Shepherding one of the strongest tourism businesses in China, Dr. Duan holds considerable influence in the Chinese tourism industry and beyond. He is a NPC deputy, member of the NPC Committee of Environment Protection and Resource Conservation, and deputy to the Municipal People’s Congress of Beijing for five terms in a row. He now serves as Chairman of China Tourism Association, Vice Chairman of Cross-Strait Tourism Exchange Association, and Vice Chairman of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).

Mr. Gino Andreetta, CEO, Club Med Greater China. Gino has been a key figure in the international management, operations and strategic evolution of the Club Med brand for almost 30 years.
Born in Belgium to Italian parents, Gino graduated from the University of Liege, majoring in Finance. His first job with Club Med in 1988 was a G.O in the Mini Club at Club Med Les Ménuires in France, where he immediately discovered his passion for Club Med’s mission of creating happiness.
Gino has since travelled the world working in Club Med resorts in Croatia, Italy, Mexico and the Caribbean. He moved to Asia for the first time in 1989 at Club Med Bali, Indonesia.
After becoming Chef de Village of Club Med Santa Lucia Resort in the Caribbean in 1995, Gino was next promoted to various regional roles. He became Regional Director Operations, Turkey from 2000 to 2004, where he oversaw the operation of six Club Med resorts in the country.
His next move saw him become VP Operations & Product responsible for North America, the Caribbean and Mexico. During this time, Gino led the repositioning of Club Med in North America as an upscale brand and the corresponding renovations of Club Med resorts in Cancun, Ixtapa Pacific and Punta Cana.
After three years in North America, Gino returned to Europe, becoming VP HR G.O Worldwide at Club Med headquarters in Lyon, France. In this strategic position, he worked closely with Club Med’s Chairman & CEO, Henri Giscard d'Estaing, and global G.Os, leading the coordination and strategic development across Club Med villages worldwide.
In 2010, Gino relocated to Milan, Italy as Club Med’s General Manager for Italy and Switzerland, focusing on operations and sales. In 2012, this role expanded to include sales and marketing for Italy, Turkey, Spain and Portugal. In 2015, Gino was promoted to the role of CEO of Club Med Greater China, based in Shanghai.

As division president of China, Dennis Chang oversees the Mastercard operations in mainland China market with the objectives of promoting the Mastercard brand preference and growing business with Chinese customers, existing or new, both domestically and globally.
Prior to the current role, Dennis was general manager of China, and head of Market Development Greater China. On those positions, he played a leadership role in expanding Mastercard's business into strategic areas in Greater China. His responsibilities included forging closer business alliances with strategic customers, promoting the usage and acceptance of Mastercard, and driving business development in alternative payment space (online, mobile, prepaid).
Prior to joining Mastercard in March 2012, Dennis worked with ANZ as general manager Cards SRCB, head of Credit Card Development and head of Retail Development China, where he led strategic retail franchise initiatives covering local incorporation and core banking system migration, distribution channel and product development, as well as developing and managing strategic partnership credit card business with SRCB to which ANZ is a strategic investor.
Prior to ANZ, Dennis also worked with HSBC for more than 10 years, where he held various roles in trade services, commercial banking, personal banking, credit card and marketing in Hong Kong and mainland China. He was the project leader for HSBC’s China Card Center setup and a key member of the leadership team in HSBC's partnership with Bank of Shanghai and joint venture with Bank of Communications.

Professor Kaye Chon (Ph.D., CHE, FIH) is Dean and Chair Professor and Walter Kwok Foundation Professor in International Hospitality Management of the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Dean Chon previously held academic positions at the University of Houston, University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Virginia Tech in the United States.

A frequent speaker at international conferences, Dean Chon has published over 200 papers in international journals and professional publications and has authored or edited ten books. One of his co-authored books, Welcome to Hospitality: An Introduction has been adopted as a textbook in more than 100 hospitality education programmes world-wide. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Travel & Tourism Marketing and the Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research.

In his university teaching that spans over 30 years, Dean Chon twice received “Teaching Excellence Award” and four times received “Research Excellence Award,” including the John Wiley & Sons Lifetime Research Award and Howard B. Meek Award from International CHRIE, Martin Oppermann Memorial Award from the International Society of Travel & Tourism Educators (ISTTE), Michael D. Olsen Award from the University of Delaware, and Founder’s Award from Purdue University and the University of South Carolina, all for his lifetime contribution to scholarship and research in tourism/hospitality. In 2003, he received the prestigious Fred Tibbitts Associates Hospitality Humanitarian Award from Fred Tibbitts and Associates of New York for his leadership and community services in global hospitality industry development. He was twice recognised by his alma mater Georgia State University, once in 2003 as the “Most Outstanding Alumni in 30 Years”, and then in 2014 as one of the honourees of the Robinson Global Business Alumni Award. He was honoured by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) with the prestigious UNWTO Ulysses Prize 2011.

Anna Coren is an award-winning international correspondent for CNN International, based at the network's Asia Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong. She joined CNN in 2008 as an anchor and has made the transition to roving international correspondent. In 2013, she was recognized for her outstanding work at the Asian Television Awards, winning "Best News Story" for her exclusive report "Afghanistan Taliban Firefight" where she came under enemy fire in Nejrab alongside U.S. special forces. This follows wins in both 2011 and 2012 at the Asian Television Awards where she won "Best News Presenter/Anchor."

Coren has been a journalist for more than 15 years reporting on location from some of the world's biggest news events, including the battle against ISIS in Iraq, the Ukraine crisis, the war in Afghanistan, the Philippines' devastating Super Typhoon Haiyan, the death of Kim Jung Il, the Japanese earthquake and tsunami, Thailand's worst floods in 50 years, and the North Korean nuclear crisis.

In her time at CNN, Coren has interviewed some of the world's top newsmakers, including former U.S. President Bill Clinton, U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, former Australian Prime Ministers Julia Gillard and John Howard and Hollywood actors and activists George Clooney and Sigourney Weaver.

Dai Bin, PhD. in economics, professor, and president of China Tourism Academy. He is also serving as director of the Academic Committee; expert member of Group Emergency Office of the State Council; referee of the National Tourist Hotel Star Rating Committee, academic member of "Tourism Tribune"; and editor of "China Tourism Hotel". Ahmed Eiweida is the World Bank Global Lead for Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Development. He is also Lead Urban Specialist covering East Asia & Pacific Region. He is based in the World Bank’s Singapore Urban & Infrastructure Hub Office. Ahmed has over 25-year experience in cultural heritage, sustainable tourism, urban policies, municipal finance & infrastructure, local economic development, urban upgrading and urban regeneration. He joined the World Bank in 2000 and since then worked in more than 15 countries in East Europe, Central Asia, Middle East, East Asia and Pacific Islands. Previously, he was the Program Leader of Sustainable Development in the South Caucasus Region (Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan), based in Tbilisi, Georgia. He assisted the Governments of Georgia and Armenia to prepare their sustainable tourism strategies and led several World Bank-financed projects in support of regional development through strategic investments in cultural heritage, sustainable tourism and urban regeneration. He is currently leading similar initiatives in China, Philippines and Papua New Guinea. Prior to joining the World Bank, he worked as Senior Technical Advisor to GiZ, DANIDA, DFID and UNDP. Fan Hengshan, graduated from the Wuhan University and Renmin University of China with his Ph. D in economics, is a renowned regional economist, senior economist, professor, and doctoral supervisor. Throughout his career life Fan had held a number of senior positions in the public sector in China, such as the Deputy Director-General of the Department of Comprehensive Planning and Pilot Projects at the National Economic System Reform Commission, the Director-General of the Coordination Department at the Office of Economic System Reform of the State Council, the Director-General of the Comprehensive Economic System Reform Department (and later, of the Regional Economic Department) at the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Deputy Secretary-General of the National Development and Reform Commission. He also served as Deputy Director of the State Office for Promoting the Rise of the Central Region.
Professor Fan Hengshan has been engaged in theoretical and Policy Research on economic development and Reform for a long time. He had participated in the drafting of many documents of the Central Plenary Session and the Central Economic Work Conference, as well as many reports on the work of the Chinese government issued by the State Council. Fan was responsible for the research and formulation of numerous important documents and plans for development and reform, and is considered as part of China’s top-level think tank.
Professor Fan Hengshan is wide in scopes of academic research and very accomplished in many fields. He is an adjunct professor at many famous universities in China, such as the Peking University, Renmin University, Wuhan University, and Communication University. He is the author, translator and editor-in-chief for more than 30 monographs and hundreds of academic articles. Some of his works are recognized by major awards such as the China National Book Awards. He has been employed as an economic adviser to many provinces and municipalities in China and was invited to hold honorary positions in some academic organizations. His academic accomplishments are recorded in the World Who's Who, Biography of Famous Chinese Contemporary Economists, Summary of Theoretical Contributions of 100 Chinese Economists and Confession of a New Generation of Chinese Thinkers.
Professor Fan Hengshan is one of the main designers of China's regional development and reform. He started Gasi Travel Group in Malaysia in 1986. Currently, Hamzah is a Director of Flight Centre Travel Group, Malaysia and Buffalo Tours, Malaysia.
With almost 40 years in the travel industry and extensive involvement in MATTA as an Executive Council member holding various portfolios such as Vice President Education & Training, Vice President Outbound, Vice President Research & Technology and Honorary Secretary General since 2000, Hamzah has forged a wide-reaching industry-wide network and is particularly known by many senior travel industry players and stakeholders in the region.
From June 2013 to July 2017 he was the President of MATTA (Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents) and currently serves the association as its Immediate Past President providing continuity in many areas particularly in MATTA’s Capacity Building initiatives.
From 2014 to 2016 he served as the Secretary General of FATA (Federation of ASEAN Travel Associations) and since 2016, as the President of FATA until recently, 31st July 2018. Also, a Board Member at WTAAA (World Travel Agents Associations Alliance), representing FATA.

He comes from a restaurant background, with over 18 years of experience including senior management roles in the USA and Australia. He is recognized internationally for his research, teaching and consulting, all focused on managing and leading service organizations, with particular emphasis on managing the employee-customer interface. His current research focuses on the future of service work and the changing relationships between organisations and employees. He has published around 40 peer-reviewed academic journal articles, and his work consistently appears in top journals such as the Journal of Service Management and Annals of Tourism Research and the International Journal of Hospitality Management. Jianping Wang, was graduated from Zhejiang Gongshang University. He is the CEO of Narada Hotel Group, the president of Zhejiang Hotel Industry Association, and the vice president of China Tourist and Hotels Industry Association. Besides, he is also the main drafter of the 2010 edition of hotel star standard, the expert of the national hotel expert steering committee, the national hotel star inspector and the part-time professor of the school of management in Zhejiang University.

He has been acting as executive director of AFTA since 2009, was former head and is still a Board director of the World Travel Agents Association Alliance (WTAAA), an international organization with about 56 member states from across the world. He is also on several taskforces and working groups under the federal government of Australia, contributing to the formulation and improvement of tourism policies in Australia and the rest of the world. He was awarded an Australian Tourism Champions Award in 2003 and a further recognition as an Australian National Tourism Legend in 2009 and 2011 from Tourism Training Australia.
