Duan Qiang holds a Ph.D. in Economics of Tsinghua University, China. He was former Vice Mayor of Beijing and now Chairman of the Board of Beijing Tourism Group (BTG), one of the top tourism groups in China. BTG holds stakes in nearly 300 companies and extends its broad presence with over 1600 member companies from across the world. Shepherding one of the strongest tourism businesses in China, Dr. Duan holds considerable influence in the Chinese tourism industry and beyond. He is a NPC deputy, member of the NPC Committee of Environment Protection and Resource Conservation, and deputy to the Municipal People’s Congress of Beijing for five terms in a row. He now serves as Chairman of China Tourism Association, Vice Chairman of Cross-Strait Tourism Exchange Association, and Vice Chairman of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).

Dai Bin, PhD. in economics, professor, and president of China Tourism Academy. He is also serving as director of the Academic Committee; expert member of Group Emergency Office of the State Council; referee of the National Tourist Hotel Star Rating Committee, academic member of "Tourism Tribune"; and editor of "China Tourism Hotel". He was promoted to full professor by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission as an exception in 2003; selected to the first “Beijing top creative talents Hundred Talents Program” in 2005; awarded with "outstanding teachers in Beijing", "national excellent teacher" in 2006 and 2007 respectively; selected as a member of "National library cadre education and training of teachers."
His research focus refers to tourism business management and tourism industrial economics. He has published more than 300 academic papers and 30 published monographs, translations and textbooks; hosted over 70 projects involving the enhancement of tourism industry development quality, China’s economic operation and development forecast, and national-wide investigation of tourist satisfaction; delivered over 800 keynote speeches.

Ahmed Eiweida is the World Bank Global Lead for Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Development. He is also Lead Urban Specialist covering East Asia & Pacific Region. He is based in the World Bank’s Singapore Urban & Infrastructure Hub Office. Ahmed has over 25-year experience in cultural heritage, sustainable tourism, urban policies, municipal finance & infrastructure, local economic development, urban upgrading and urban regeneration. He joined the World Bank in 2000 and since then worked in more than 15 countries in East Europe, Central Asia, Middle East, East Asia and Pacific Islands. Previously, he was the Program Leader of Sustainable Development in the South Caucasus Region (Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan), based in Tbilisi, Georgia. He assisted the Governments of Georgia and Armenia to prepare their sustainable tourism strategies and led several World Bank-financed projects in support of regional development through strategic investments in cultural heritage, sustainable tourism and urban regeneration. He is currently leading similar initiatives in China, Philippines and Papua New Guinea. Prior to joining the World Bank, he worked as Senior Technical Advisor to GiZ, DANIDA, DFID and UNDP. He was also Manager of Aswan’s Urban Development and Land Management Unit- Ministry of Housing, Utilities and New Urban Communities, Egypt. He holds a PhD on Urban Development and an MSc. on Environmental Management from the University of Glasgow, The UK. He also holds a Pre-MSc. on Urban and Regional Development from University of Cairo, and a BSc. on Architecture and Engineering from Assuit University.

He was elected congressman of Loir-et-Cher province at the age of 22, the youngest at that time. Ms. Pansy Ho is the chairman of Global Tourism Economy Research Centre (GTERC) and the Vice-Chairman & Secretary-General of Global Tourism Economy Forum. She is also the Group Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Shun Tak Holdings Limited, a leading Hong Kong listed conglomerate with core businesses in the transportation, property, hospitality and investment sectors. In addition, Ms. Ho serves as the Co-Chairperson and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, and Director of Sociedade de Turismo e Diversoes de Macau, SA.

Over the years, Ms. Ho actively contributes to the promotion of tourism development on a global scale. She is Executive Committee Member of World Travel & Tourism Council and Vice President of China Chamber of Tourism of All-China Federation of Industries and Commerce (“ACFIC”). In 2011, she founded the Global Tourism Economy Research Centre, organizer of the annual international event -- Global Tourism Economy Forum, and co-publishes an annual research report on Asia Tourism Trends with the World Tourism Organization. Ms. Ho was appointed the first official PATA Foundation Ambassador in 2013, and UNWTO Tourism Ambassador in 2018.

Dr. QIU, Hanqin is the Distinguished Professor at Nankai University, the Dean of College of Tourism and Service Management and the Director of Digital Learning Research and Development Center. She is also the Vice-President of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Hong Kong Association, the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Quality Assurance in Hospitality & Tourism and the consultant on Education Administration to the Sun Yat-sen University.

Her research interests focus on the analysis of tourism demand, consumer behavior, the inbound and outbound tourism in China, the tourism development and policy issues in Asia Pacific and tourism education innovations, etc. She has published more than 80 refereed journal article in major international refereed journals. She has served as guest editor for International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management and Journal of Vacation Marketing on Special Issues for China Hotel and Tourism Development. She was also the regional editor for International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management.

In 2016, Professor Qiu and her team founded the World’s FIRST Micro-Master’s Credentials in International Hotel Management collaborated with the edX platform, which was created by MIT and Harvard University. The program received recognitions more than 40,000 online learners from over 175 countries within less than two years.

In 2018, Professor Qiu and her team founded the “Micro-Credential” MOOCS system in Tourism Management of Nankai University and explore a new model of higher education in the digital era.
