Duan Qiang holds a Ph.D. in Economics of Tsinghua University, China. He was former Vice Mayor of Beijing and now Chairman of the Board of Beijing Tourism Group (BTG), one of the top tourism groups in China. BTG holds stakes in nearly 300 companies and extends its broad presence with over 1600 member companies from across the world. Shepherding one of the strongest tourism businesses in China, Dr. Duan holds considerable influence in the Chinese tourism industry and beyond. He is a NPC deputy, member of the NPC Committee of Environment Protection and Resource Conservation, and deputy to the Municipal People’s Congress of Beijing for five terms in a row. As division president of China, Dennis Chang oversees the Mastercard operations in mainland China market with the objectives of promoting the Mastercard brand preference and growing business with Chinese customers, existing or new, both domestically and globally.
Prior to the current role, Dennis was general manager of China, and head of Market Development Greater China. On those positions, he played a leadership role in expanding Mastercard's business into strategic areas in Greater China. His responsibilities included forging closer business alliances with strategic customers, promoting the usage and acceptance of Mastercard, and driving business development in alternative payment space (online, mobile, prepaid).
Prior to joining Mastercard in March 2012, Dennis worked with ANZ as general manager Cards SRCB, head of Credit Card Development and head of Retail Development China, where he led strategic retail franchise initiatives covering local incorporation and core banking system migration, distribution channel and product development, as well as developing and managing strategic partnership credit card business with SRCB to which ANZ is a strategic investor.
Prior to ANZ, Dennis also worked with HSBC for more than 10 years, where he held various roles in trade services, commercial banking, personal banking, credit card and marketing in Hong Kong and mainland China. He was the project leader for HSBC’s China Card Center setup and a key member of the leadership team in HSBC's partnership with Bank of Shanghai and joint venture with Bank of Communications.

Anna Coren is an award-winning international correspondent for CNN International, based at the network's Asia Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong. She joined CNN in 2008 as an anchor and has made the transition to roving international correspondent. In 2013, she was recognized for her outstanding work at the Asian Television Awards, winning "Best News Story" for her exclusive report "Afghanistan Taliban Firefight" where she came under enemy fire in Nejrab alongside U.S. special forces. Ahmed has over 25-year experience in cultural heritage, sustainable tourism, urban policies, municipal finance & infrastructure, local economic development, urban upgrading and urban regeneration. He joined the World Bank in 2000 and since then worked in more than 15 countries in East Europe, Central Asia, Middle East, East Asia and Pacific Islands. Previously, he was the Program Leader of Sustainable Development in the South Caucasus Region (Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan), based in Tbilisi, Georgia. He assisted the Governments of Georgia and Armenia to prepare their sustainable tourism strategies and led several World Bank-financed projects in support of regional development through strategic investments in cultural heritage, sustainable tourism and urban regeneration. He is currently leading similar initiatives in China, Philippines and Papua New Guinea. Prior to joining the World Bank, he worked as Senior Technical Advisor to GiZ, DANIDA, DFID and UNDP. She is also the Group Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Shun Tak Holdings Limited, a leading Hong Kong listed conglomerate with core businesses in the transportation, property, hospitality and investment sectors. In addition, Ms. Ho serves as the Co-Chairperson and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, and Director of Sociedade de Turismo e Diversoes de Macau, SA.

Over the years, Ms. Ho actively contributes to the promotion of tourism development on a global scale. She is Executive Committee Member of World Travel & Tourism Council and Vice President of China Chamber of Tourism of All-China Federation of Industries and Commerce (“ACFIC”). In 2011, she founded the Global Tourism Economy Research Centre, organizer of the annual international event -- Global Tourism Economy Forum, and co-publishes an annual research report on Asia Tourism Trends with the World Tourism Organization. Tom Jenkins is the CEO of the European Tourism Association (ETOA), whose purpose is to promote a fair business environment for European tourism. ETOA represents over 1,200 tour operators and suppliers from over 50 countries, who deliver more than €12 billion of business annually within Europe.

Under Tom’s stewardship, ETOA’s scope of activity has broadened considerably; he has built close relationships with numerous legislators and other trade bodies at European, national and local levels. He regularly lobbies on our members’ behalf on our core legislative issues of visas, destination engagement, taxation and the Package Travel Directive.

He has been responsible for championing tourist access to historic cities, for initiating a Europe-wide coach safety code and for leading a campaign that successfully blocked changes to EU VAT legislation that would have jeopardised 5,000 tourism jobs in Europe.
Tom is often called upon by a variety of media including BBC TV, GMTV, CNN, CNBC & Radios 4 & 5, where he is vocal on topics such as visa facilitation, capacity management, the sharing economy and Brexit.

Before taking the reins at ETOA, Tom held a number of management positions at American Express, ultimately being responsible for the company’s inbound leisure travel for scheduled tours, independent vacations and customised itineraries. There, he launched a fully integrated computerised booking system, developed the first interactive digital brochure and managed a corps of 350 tour managers operating throughout Europe.

Prior to joining American Express he spent 5 years as a tour guide working for American Express and Thomas Cook. Tom graduated from Bristol University with a BA in English & History. Following this, he helped start Galleries Magazine and embarked on two years post-graduate research at London University’s Courtauld Institute. He is married with two grown-up children.

In 2018, Professor Qiu and her team founded the “Micro-Credential” MOOCS system in Tourism Management of Nankai University and explore a new model of higher education in the digital era.

Jianping Wang, was graduated from Zhejiang Gongshang University. He is the CEO of Narada Hotel Group, the president of Zhejiang Hotel Industry Association, and the vice president of China Tourist and Hotels Industry Association. Besides, he is also the main drafter of the 2010 edition of hotel star standard, the expert of the national hotel expert steering committee, the national hotel star inspector and the part-time professor of the school of management in Zhejiang University.
Jianping Wang, the head of industry management department of Tourist Administration in Zhejiang Province, was occupied in the study and management of hotel industry for many years.
Wang was appointed to be the president of Narada Hotel Group, aiming at building up a hotel group with Chinese (oriental) characters, features of the times and a unique branding style. From establishing platform operation system, working out a Narada branding development strategy, to forming the content of Narada branding, advancing the establishment of Narada branding image, and founding Narada resorts that satisfy the needs for quality lifestyle of Chinese, Wang has officially been putting Narada into the fast lane of collectivization development. At present, Narada is among the world's top 60 hotel groups. Narada resort has become one of the best resort brand in China.

He has been acting as executive director of AFTA since 2009, was former head and is still a Board director of the World Travel Agents Association Alliance (WTAAA), an international organization with about 56 member states from across the world.
